Brunch at Ozone Coffee Roasters is definitely more artisan than shabby chic, with real coffee roasting happening downstairs. It sits on the edge of the city near to Old Street, Hoxton and Shoreditch. Ozone has a stylish industrial interior providing a good selection of seating, accommodating solo coffee drinkers with their laptops at nice window seats plus booths at the back for larger groups and yet more seating downstairs.

We had woken to the sort of summer’s day you dream of all winter, a day to get out and enjoy.
My relationship filters however were malfunctioning and the repeated request (hint) for a pub lunch and a simple doorstop sandwich of cheese and pickle was pushed into the background by my craving for brunch. As we came into Liverpool Street I suggested it was a chance to visit Ozone, this also sat well with my aging hipster gene which requires a constant supply of coffee.
Unfortunately they do not do the type of sandwich formerly envisioned by ‘A’ who was placated by a lovely glass pot of English Breakfast Tea. Needless to say the coffee was lovely. As this was a precursor to a long walk we dived in and ‘A’ ordered lunch while I went for brunch. Fish cakes with chips as lunch and Pancakes with bacon and, get this, chocolate mousse and dried slices of orange. A joy!
